Hello World

Welcome to the latest and, hopefully, greatest incarnation of beecy.net!

It's taken me a couple years to find the time to put something up to replace the old DNN site. This time, I'm trying out a relatively new platform called BlogEngine.NET.

My main requirements in selecting a platform were that it be ASP.Net based, lightweight, reasonably performant, and easy to modify (as if I'm actually going to find the time - but one can dream). BlogEngine.NET seems to fit the bill. It's also open source (Microsoft Permissive License), which is good. Being relatively new, it does have some minor quirks, but nothing I haven't been able to work around. 

Mainly, I'll be writing here about what I do, which is programming, jotting down quick examples of how to do this or that so that I don't have to keep wading through Google to remind myself.
